Ayurvedic Sacred Stone

Experience the art of ayurvedic stone healing, the combination of stone bodywork and the amazing ancient science of Ayurveda. This is perfect for anyone who wants to experience a completely unique massage, and is excellent for seasonal cleansing. Large stones are purposely utilized with gems placed with the body’s energy system, the chakras. This is a warm oil treatment, seemingly decadent, and brings the body, mind and soul back into balance and renews the sweetness of life. your body, mind and soul will thank you.

Ayurvedic Shirodhara

Shirodhara is an ancient Ayurvedic healing practice performed in India for over 5,000 years. The word shirodhara breaks down into two ideas: “shiro,” meaning head, and “dhara,” which means flow. Together they form a concept that aims to bring physical and emotional balance by rejuvenating the spirit and preserving health. This is achieved through a relaxing technique in which warmed oil is poured over a client’s forehead for an extended period of time.

Deep Tissue Therapy

Bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. This highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries may cause soreness foew a few days after the session. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid in the flushing of stagnant fluid from the tissue. Deep Tissue work, does not necessarily mean “harder” pressure.

Manual Lymphatic Technique

Your Lymphatic system is your waste management system. Very specific techniques are gently performed on the areas of lymph nodes which may be inflamed due to surgery, cancer treatments, toxic build-up and sedentary lifestyle. Instigating these areas we open the channels of waste removal to flush the body so that it may be able to heal faster and more thoroughly. Can also be utilized for decrease in general pain and inflammation.

Neuromuscular Therapy

A system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930’s by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. Using a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.

Myoskeletal Alignment

This bodywork blends the principles of osteopathy and structural integration to relieve chronic pain and to reduce the potential for the emergence of pain which could become chronic over time. this technique is often integrated into regular massage and bodywork sessions, and it can also be used alone to treat systemic problems. the focus of this technique is on back and neck pain in particular, since this type of pain is extremely common in the industrialized world.

Myofascial Release

This technique is used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. It differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia – the membrane surrounding muscles – rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage therapy can overlook the fascia, this session focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

Sports Massage Therapy

All Levels. Sports massage is crucial for highly active people who engage in athletics. engaging in sports can be harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. sports massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates this session is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.

Structural Integration

Intermediate or Expert Level in Massage Therapy. Employing soft tissue manipulation with the goal of realigning the body in relationship to the force of gravity. the theory underlying structural integration asserts that often the body’s connective tissue is “bound up,” thus restricting opposing muscles from working independently of one another. thus, we aim to loosen the restricted connective tissue by using a practice very similar to deep tissue massage.
